CHOOSING THE RIGHT PHOTOGRAPHS
To create a portrait of your pet, it requires good quality photos to work from. Choosing high-quality photographs for each painting is what makes an average painting a truly spectacular one. A minimum of 4 photographs is needed and all must have the folloiwng:
Lighting is imperative, not only because so many dog breeds are only one block colour which makes creating form and structure more difficult and so lighting is imperative to create a shape to the dog and provide strong features.
It's really important for me to gage your pets true personality so that I can honestly represent them in the paiitng. This is helped hugely if you can send through photographs that capture the character, along with a short paragraph containing their traits and quirks.
High definition/ sharpness
I can only work with photographs of high quality and high resolution, no blurry photos will be accepted. The reason for this is I need to be able to capture your dog's looks and personality through the photograph and if there is a slight blurriness then I won't be able to work from them as I must be able to see all of the animal's features and definition to be able to create a quality piece of artwork.
Close up, clear features
Photographs that are taken from a long distance away, unfortunately, won't be accepted, as I need to see your dogs features up close to be able to portray important features such as eye colour, their facial expression, ears, muzzle/ nose.
It is helpful to send as many photographs that you think could work and we can decide together which would be most suitable.
